Back to the wetness on the passenger side of the lower intake manifold. Gas leaking will cause a miss if it is not all that bad. A straight out failed FPR will cause all kinds of serious problems, but one that is just slightly weeping fuel will cause a miss.

It is possible that you have something wrong with your distributor cap/rotor though. You did say that you had to swap back to the old one...

replaced the cap but it still has a miss,,,i have a question.
when i took the old spider out, i noticed that the 3 hoses on the
passenger side were hooked up front hose to front port
and second hose to third port and third hose to second port
is this correct?

It does not matter so long as they reach. On the 96+ SCFI motors, it definitely matters, but not on the CPI motors.

Your 95 likely is not fully OBD2 compliant.

well i replaced the spider and checked it for leaks before
i closed it up,,still running rough,i found 2 vac hoses i havent been putting back
on,i know where the front one goes but the one on the rear of the
plinum on the passenger side i cannot find anything that
goes to it. also have a ticking in the top end probably a lifter.
wondering if that is causing the slight miss, never had one miss with a little
ticking of the lifter.
