1000 at idle is a little high sounds like that hose needs hooked back up to get rid of the vaccum leak....I'll have to golook under my hood to figure out where it goes.....but if i remember one end is at the back of the intake and the other goes to that black ball thing

That vac line runs to the back of the plenum, pass side near the distributor the brake booster line is on the dr side i put a small hose clamp on mine to secure it if it is not hooked up truck will not run right

well I forgot to tell you guys what happened
I took it to a shop because I could not figure it out and it was the darn EGR valve the whole time, I cleaned it and put it back on but apparently the plunger was stuck half open on it.
It cost me 214 bucks to get it fixed but MAN it runs better now

one little tip just in case, next time you have to take that egr off and clean it (there will be a next time have no doubt about that) get a screened gasket to put in upon reassembly it will help greatly in keeping carbon chunks from sticking that egr plunger open again.
