Oh come on, you know soon as a good reason comes alone you will be finding a decent boneyard engine 96+ for your ride and be right in with the rest of us. Heck I mentioned before, only reason I got 98 was wanted 4 wheel disc which is stock on 98+

Close! When the good reason comes along, I'll be finding a nice 350 to put in there! Or maybe a 5.3L LS, if I really feel like spending a ton of money!

Been awhile but reading back old style 96-02 not sure if production change occur mid year at that point. Still drive my 98, 220,000 miles plus been doing great with hardly a problem, last trouble I had was a bad left rear caliper. Heck I dragged a double axle Uhaul trailer 600 plus miles in December without a issue. Motor fine, occasion misfire code found plug wire loose and ok. You looking at right version of injector? Newer has wires for tips at each port being the giveaway when looking. Keep in mind on used prior owner may have used old style due to cost or availability or such seeing either setup would work.

I’d recommend the Delco official part in this case if possible. With gasket kit and work involved you don’t want to repeat the repair anytime soon. Scroll back several post will see one I bought via Amazon in 2019, was complete and shows part number. If you search you will also see post I did with photos and the issues I dealt with when replacing them. Some members tips proved very useful like making 4 of the old manifold bolts into guides for putting back together, lined up perfect for the liquid gasket section. Only replaced after diagnostic with scan tool via Bluetooth and app (iPad) showed leaking by measuring fuel rails. That ODB port tool was a great investment and still get to use it now and then. Good luck. Do a good job, it will last.
Search for you…if curious this read will be helpful maybe, fun nonetheless. https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...s-99266/page2/ copy pasted so scroll to top, I posted quite a few pics doing this job on injectors
