Default ticking noise with the exauhst

I have a 2001 blazer and there is a very annoying ticking noise with the exaust and there was a tube that was rotted away for the return to the manifold and it is still ticking any suggestions on what I can do to fix this without spending an arm and a leg

Go take the parts from a truck at the wreckers??? I beleive you are talking about the EGR pipe from exhaust back to the manifold. Thats kind of important. EGR keeps cylinder temperatures down. High cylinder temps can make for melted pistons, burned valves and other bad things. Not to mention you probably have an engine light on that you want to turn off again. You may want to pop into and exhaust shop, they may be able to repair it with stuff they have in the shop and not cost you too much. If its just the pipe thats rotted away, they can maybe just cut out the rotten section and weld in a new piece for you.
