i changed the intake manifold gaskets and i had to take out the distributor off. i marked where it was but even when i push it back in the car wont start. i was told it needed to be hooked up to a diagnostic computer to find out where the number 1 spark plug wire lines up but i dont really know too much. it would cost around $150 to get it done so should i just go ahead with the mechanic doing it? any help is appreciated.

 

Just seen a video on how to do a distributor install this mourning (I have to replace to distributor on my truck). He shows to do a distributor install on a late model 4.3L V6. Hope this helps.
