Default Tranny Cooler question

I have a 2000 Blazer LT 4x4 with th 4L60E tranny. I am putting an aftermaket tranny cooler on it. Will it be better to just run the aftermarket tranny cooler and disconnect the factory one. Or run the aftermarket tranny cooler after the factory cooler as a add on?

I live in North Dakota so the winter temps is why i am asking. The tranny uses Dex VI so it is synthetic so it doesn't thicken or thin like coventional oil. Any suggestions would be appreciated especially if you live where it gets -30 out.

Most people have used both the factory and after market.

Always a good idea to run in conjunction with radiator

In colder weather you can over cool the fluid

IIRC the install instructions should recommend the fluid passing threw aux cooler >> radiator >> then transmission

that routing should keep the ATF close to water temperature

Thank You for the input. I am definitely keeping the radiator cooler connected then.
