Default At tranny line leak

I got a buddy I'm helping. He's got an at cooler line leak. And he doesn't have the money for new line. Been to parts yard with no luck. Anyone got a good cheap fixer upper for these lines? Right now hes got a piece of rubber hose and hose clamps.on it and it's failed. It's his daily driver and is needed for work.

When replacing my 95 trans I cut the lines and reattached them with brass compression fittings. Never leaked a drop. If a section can be replaced, if the entire line isn't bad, might get some metal line and patch it in.

Yes, presdsure is too high for rubber.

Power steering pressure hose from the auto parts store and double hose clamps on each end will hold the transmission line pressure in a pinch. It can get as much as 50 psi and the P/S hose is made to take the oil and not swell like rubber gas line. Good luck. Replace the entire line as soon as it can be afforded.
