Default It worked!

I took the pan off, allowed the fluid to drain out, change the filter, scraped the factory seal stuff off the pan and the tranny, cleaned the pan and magnet, placed the new gasket on and buttoned everything back up and filled it with the same amount of fluid that came out that also included a half bottle of Lucas Oil 10009 Transmission Fix. This thing is running like new. At least for now. I can NOT believe how EVERY transmission mechanic said I needed a new transmission and that changing the fluid and filter is a waste of time and a waste of money. AMAZING!! I will run it and get it warm and check the fluid level tomorrow. I might have to put a little more in.

Where did the material that plugged the filter come from?

Got the filter, gasket and new trans oil, opened the pan, replaced filter and now is running like new, shifting is super smooth and got it to work!!

So it was a clogged filter indeed. Worth the try! Thanks a lot!
So I have the exact same issue. Was driving, then at a stop light had no gears whatsoever. I was thinking the torque converter or the pump. I think will try the filter first. Only cost 15 bucks, and some of my time. Worth a shot right...?
