1999 blazer 2 door 4 wheel drive. Well since I've owned the blazer tjere has been a clunking when going into drive and reverse. I suspect the u joints need replacing. Now, I've searched around but haven't found anything that helps much. How would i go about doinh this?

 

all ujoints I have ever done I cut the old ujoint cross in half with a cutting torch
Ujoint caps are held in place by plastic injection around the caps
The heat from cutting usually melts the plastic that was holding the old caps in place
Knock the old caps out being carefull to not bend the yokes of the shaft
I press the new caps in usually using the bench vice again carefull of the yokes making sure all the neddle bearings stay in place

Some of the loan a tool places have ujoint/balljoint presses instead of using a vice
