Default Whats the difference between Sonnax .490 boost valve and Transgo .500 boost valve?

I know there is an advertised .010" inch differnce between the two, but is there any other difference between the two? and which is better for a stock transmission with some wear on it? and does one give more line pressure than the other? and does it affect idle line pressure too? i appreciate any info or advice , thanks

The stock boost valve is 0.470" in diameter. Both the Sonnax and the Transgo valves will increase line pressure. Sonnax states a 10-15% increase in line pressure. I wasn't able to find the increase for the Transgo valve.

hi Kyle, would you know if these boost valves will boost line pressure at idle too? or only as the rpm or throttle increases? only because i dont want high line pressure at idle because then i will have a hard engagement. and would the .500 boost more than the .490 since its bigger ?

I'm not sure on idle line pressure, but I would assume so.

It also stands to reason that the .500 boost valve would increase the line pressure more than the 0.490 boost valve.
