a stock arm is good up to 2 inches of lift,
just a little heads up that arm is a mudderfudder to get off of there, dont just expect to unbolt the three bolts and its gonna come off. google around on different methods of getting it off. mine usually consists of burning the old one off, or putting it in a vise and hitting it with a sledge hammer, 2,384 times. you may get lucky if it was just put on but theres actually some goofy crush cone washers that go in there that cause you a bit of problems when trying to remove them
also the dropped transfercase and sway bar probably isnt needed for anything under 4 inches but ddont think it will hurt anything

I've found the best way to get a steering arm off is to remove the caliper and beat from the back. If you leave the caliper on there just isn't a good way to get to the right spots.
To remove there are the three nuts that you can obviously see. What you can't see is what looks like washers are actually cones that do a very good job of seating the arm onto the knuckle. You need to vibrate those cones so that they back out, after that the arm just lifts off.
Oh, and you need a pickle fork to get the drag link end off... just beat and repeat.
Here's how I took off my last steering arm, I was a little cocky and had my wife take a video.
See if it works:
