Would that tranny fit in a 700r4 mounts are would i have to do some fabrication?

 

I have been doing a little research and it says that they werent stock in a blazer so i guess that I'll be doing some fabricating

 

The TH400 is longer than the 700R4/4L60/4L60E so you would have to move everything back and lengthen/shorten the front/rear driveshafts respectively. Also, the output shaft from a TH400 is larger and has a different spline count than the 700R4 so the input shaft on the transfer case would need to be changed and you would likely have to get a different adapter.

 

i got a 700r4 from monster transmission and it is holding up wonderfully the mid rated one witch is the one i got is rated for 500HP, i also got a 1800-2000 stall converter from them
