It could be a lot of things. First of all, how many miles are on the transmission? It's possible that one of the pumps isn't working properly. I have found this to occur on one of the 9C1 Caprices I had. It had 165k miles of police service on the original 4L60 (same as yours) transmission. I had problems with it not shifting properly when cold. I took it to the dealer and had the trans flushed completely. not just the pand dropped, but all the fluid removed and new put in. No problems after that. I would give that a try. Remember, cheap first, then start looking at the expensive things!

The truck has 232K miles onit and its all original. For a complete flush would a Jiffy Lube or similar lube shop do the same flush as the dealer or do they not do as complete of a tranny flush

I would not go to either a dealer or a jiffy lube. go to a deticated tranny shop. usually if you can find a mom and pop place their prices are cheaper.
