That motor in a blazer just want to make sure thats what your talking about doing??? First off I don't think it would work very well and the supply of aftermarket for that motor is expensive!! (warning you I was going to put that motor in a maxima and convert it to all wheel drive) Another thing is all the computer rewiring needed to do the swap may be overwhelming!! Also do you plan to use the tranni off a sr20dett for the swap to make it a direct rear wheel drive or are you going to try all wheel drive with the intended tranni ment for that motor?? Just a few things to consider before tackling this job!! I would love to see this swap done don't get me wrong I just believe that running a LS6 will give you more power and torque cheaper then doing the rb26dett!!!!

lol ya. by all means if money and every other factor that could possibly appose me WASN'T a factor, then i would go through and pull the tranny off of an rb25, wiring harnesses, ecu, pcm, and likely TRY for the entire front suspension while i was at it lol. then every other nut and bolt i could possibly need to make the swap as clean as possible. BUT being at the 13.75/hour end of the food chain, i know it'll never happen in my driveway with my hands.

see, my issue is that i was raised as a muscle nut, never converted from, BUT during high school the import bug bit me. most of the ones (imports) worth referencing are relatively small though, and are capable of producing massive (streetable) power/ci compared to a v8, or v6 in 4.3L's case. on top of that the gas mileage doesnt suffer DRAMATICALLY when you install an aggressive cam or anything along those lines. so far, the best gas mileage i've seen out of a worked 350 is 9mpg. granted its in a 1/2 ton truck, it MAY get 11mpg in a lighter vehicle and still produce ~450whp & ~400 ft/lbs. off the top of my head i know of 3 imports getting 20+mpg still in the 350-430whp range. yes, granted the torque numbers arent worth mentioning, but still. lets be slightly reasonable and human....ish.

as much as i would love to alter (rape?) the dna of my little toy, it'll without a doubt never happen.

btw, the idea of an rb26 in a maxima sounds mind blowing considering the engine bay size of a r34 skyline versus a similar gen maxima
