Default How to easily remove leaf spring shackle bolts.

I have fought many leaf spring hanger bolts out from the biggest air hammers to just outright cutting them off with a torch or cut off wheel but just yesterday I figured out a new method and would like to share it. The ball joint press.
Check this out.

good advice, ive done that a few times but most the time you just end up pushing out the cut bolt and inner sleave. most the time i just cut the bolt, drop the springs down, burned out the bushings then air hammered the sleave out of there.

MountainDew is on the mark. I used the Harbor Freight ball joint press to replace my shackle and spring bushings last month. I've recommended it in two shackle question threads since then. $80 was worth it.
