I freakin hate you blazer!!!!
I've been trying to get the BF on board with loving my Blazer, he's a Jeep guy with a lifted Wrangler and just couldn't understand my love affair. BUT, once he sat on my heated seats in the winter and hit the gas (his is a 4 banger) and was able to get up a hill, I think he slightly turned..
Although, I think if I told him I wanted a '8" lift' on it, he'd wet his pants! Yeesh, definitely couldn't fit it in the garage then. lol

One of the many things I did during my recent engine swap was to carefully pry one seal out of each bearing, & pack the hell out of it with some synthetic grease. I do this to the new ones too. They skimp on the grease bigtime nowadays. Also hooked a wire to the tensioner & let it sit at the bottom of a 6 gallon pail of used motor oil for a few minutes. They work great after all that, and aren't as prone to failure.
The wife's '91 shredded a belt due to a seized tensioner pulley bearing several years back. Luckily she just happened to be on my recycling route I was driving at the time. She wouldn't have made it the 20 miles home from there with no water pump, p/s, or alternator. Gave her my AAA card & she got home for free, & I picked up the parts on the way home. Worked out good.
