New to the forum, New Blazer, New problems
Just an aside. Regarding those oil coolant lines, if you aren't doing any hauling (like a work trailer full of tools or a trailer with wood lumber....or a boat) you can always get rid of them. Or when the give out (when....not if) take them out. when you take the oil filter out, get up under the truck with a light and look at the housing that the filter mounts to. There are two torqx bolts in there. If you take those two out the adapter housing just comes off (connected to the oil coolant line) once it's off all you need to do is put the oil filter back on to the bare engine housing. No problem. I live down near houston, I've got a 2000 blazer with automatic that I took those lines out of. Also I have A 96 GMC Sierra with the 4.3 and a 5 speed stick. I don't haul anything much and i have NEVER had an overheating issue with either. And that includes driving in the middle of summer in houston stop and go traffic.
I get up on my soap box and preach anytime on two issues. Dexcool back to green conversion and getting rid of those damn oil coolant lines.
