I did just recently remove my roof rack so I could clay bar buff and polish my roof and I will say that consistently the second to last bolts on both sides broke evenly. I grabbed a full set of new ones from the junkyard just because I want ot use good stuff next time but I’m still debating how to break those others noose without having to do too much damage and end up removing my headliner so you may want to stay there and deal with that part now.
True, there are a bunch of S10s and Blazers that look good with the Rough Country 2.5" lift. For your roof rack bolts try Aerokroil penetrating oil. It is far and above the best I've ever used. I bet if you let some of that soak on the roof rack bolts you'd have a much better chance of them coming out without breaking, What is your goal with the clay bar?

Ill check that out, the pb blaster isnt working for me hahaha

Honestly all the clarbar was for was initially cleaning before i buffed and polished it. It honestly turned out looking nearly as garbage as it did initially but at least theres SOME water beading now. That was basically my goal was to get some beading so stuff doesnt get any worse before I decide what im gonna do

A common complaint I'm seeing with roof baskets is they whistle at highway speed. Anybody with a basket have this issue?

I've never noticed it with mine, but I rarely drive at highway speeds and, when I do, there are usually enough other noises that I'd never hear the roof rack whistling, anyway.

That's good to know.
