I don't think straight piping it will make it enjoyable at all!! Straight pipes sound alot better on bigger motors, especially V8's!!

I kind of did it, i drove around for a month and a half without a muffler on it, i just cut it off after the ehaust flange, its sounds alright but it gets to be annoying after a while...
My buddy has straight pipes on his Z71 Silverado and it sounds awesome. You can turn the radio up and barely if at all hear it unless your on the gas hard. Thats whay I was curious what it would sound like on the 4.3L.

Does anyone have any sound clips outside and inside the cabin?

Those extra 2 cylinders make a BIG difference
