Tow hook question.

The tow hooks on my RPO code list is stated as tie downs for shipping. "VR6 HOOK , TIE-DN SHPG" But then again, my truck was sent from New Jersey to Japan & had to be tied down on the ship. And then again on it's way to new Zealand!
