What about a crate engine, what does a 4.3 one of them cost and come with? Or you could just find a tired old 4.3 and rebuild it how you want for fairly cheap I would think

the 4.3 crates im seeing come complete without the serpentine system.

I wouldn't get a .060 bored engine. The larger the overbore, the closer the cylinder walls are to the water jackets. If you go to large, you can have cooling issues.

rofl, if i could fit my 10-15 mpg gas prices into my budget already, i have no problem going right back to it.

Holy hell I missed a lot in my absence!

Dude, if you get a low mileage replacement, you'll probably get a bit better mileage.
I normally see 17.5mpg, and I don't always drive like grandma, either.

Now I'm scared because I have the exact same miles on my truck.
