My lil S10 has roughly 300,000 miles on it and I have yet to rebuild it. Pulled the 2.8 and four speed out last semester at school, and those await complete rebuild. The trans I might just swap for a five speed. If I dont put the 2.8 back in, I had ideas of droppin a turbo'ed 2.5l Subaru boxer in its place.

i got mine from pepboys for $1500. it came with the motor and the internals, you will have to use all the old parts on the outside of the motor, oil pan, valve covers, intake, ect. just make sure you replace anything that needs to be replaced from wear, hoses and stuff. good luck matt. just try not to beat the hell out of the blazer anymore and youll be good

I think that's one of the more solid pieces of advice you've gotten in this thread... I have a cousin who didn't heed this advice and his car that had ~ 60k on it is now sitting in the scrap yard because he couldn't afford to fix it, threw a connecting rod and punched a hole in the block and bent the crank no less. Now he's beating the **** out of some old Buick (Not sure which model because we don't speak anymore) so we'll see how long that lasts.

Basically fix the Blazer because a vehicle that doesn't run isn't worth a bag of racoon ****, and go easy on it this time.

Yeah with a bad motor you might get $500. It's worth just fixing the bitch.

Agreed. If you want to sell it, at least throw a running JY motor in it and you'll get 1500ish easy.
