Think im gonna go check this out in the morning the repair is no big deal just gotta check compression (maybe a headgasket) and oil see how long it was driven like this may motor shelled gonna try talk down a lil but i do love the 96 97 blazers thanx for any input

I would do just what you said. Check everything over. Get it if it looks good. But be careful! You never know.

any idea on the mileage?

i guess depending on the issue with the engine, it might be a good deal. seems alot of info has been omitted from the ad, make sure you go with an eye expecting to find crap, maybe you'll be surprised by a gem? who knows..........

as far as parts go even if the motor is shelled i got a whole 96 new motor and trans im bout to rip apart to turn into a mud racer But not gonna pay that price for a crap load of work

even if the engine is smoked, if you have a spare near by, that isn't too bad of a deal. you will be able to bring him down a bit (i assume he's asking $650, but will take $500 hench the odd number). worst case senario, you get it running and flip it for a quick $200-$500 return on investment.
