what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
Is there some kind of record amongst us for the longest that the original factory exhaust has lasted on our trucks? Mine has just finally broken apart at the rear of the muffler after 16 years which I think is pretty good going myself.
Have just ordered a cat-back system from Rockauto (and got raped for the shipping here to the UK). Wonder if it will last as long as the original? I doubt it somehow?

You can probably get it back by just turning the distributor and listening to how the engine runs, then take it for a ride - a little trial & error will get you to where it runs better.

Hi - I put in a new brake booster in my 95 S-10 Blazer a couple of weeks ago - messed up the threads on the proportioning valve and had to replace it as well - but got it back together, and bled it until the clear new fluid came through - so back in action. Now - I only bought this a year ago, and have been playing old cassettes - Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris mostly, but bought a new pioneer stereo yesterday - eager to put it in, but notice it is quite a bit smaller than the original, and doesn't have side tabs for the screws. The utube videos I've watched are all about removing the dash to get the old one out. I bought the wiring adapter kit so don't anticipate that being a problem - just the install. Appreciate any feedback. Also plan on replacing speakers as I know the old ones are probably shot - this is a 95 S-10 blazer that came from Texas - little rust, but basic wear and tear. Only 130,000 miles. Also - 4wd works - but clunks badly coming out - want to have it right before another Vermont winter. Any suggestions? I know this is vacuum actuated - probably needs hoses replaced. Thanks!
Changed out the PCV valve and finally got the switchback blinker in on the driver side. Had an issue with the controller for it and got a new one in the mail.
Sorry MN for you having to deal with that ugly OEM light!

As for pulling the whole dash, definitely not needed, I am not sure what is needed on a second gen, but I know its not the whole dash. Check the audio and video section on this forum for tips!

I have a '98 LS 4dr 4wd that I bought in Jan. '99. It still has all of it's original exhaust components after 17 years. That's surprising longevity for where I live in N. Missouri where we get a real winter with frequently salted roads.
Bad skip with CEL P301; inspected all O2 sensors, inspected air cleaner, cleaned MAF and replaced #1 plug @ $3. Cleared code. Replaced PCV valve and rubber parts on plastic PCV hose @ $15. Bad shimmy in rear after locking brakes down avoiding hitting an idiot driver. Holes in caliper piston boot caused piston to rust and not returning allowing brakes to drag. Replaced rear driver caliper with remaned unit and new pads @ $63. I will replace the rear passenger caliper and pad next payday. All running great until next event.
Save for the muffler, the exhaust in my 99 Bravada is original, on 220k miles.
What I did was an oil change after using Sea Foam. A bunch of sludge came out with the old oil, and now I get amazing oil pressure.
