I replaced my valve cover gaskets (which didn't turn out to be quite as bad of a job as I thought it would be) and upgraded my alternator to an AD244 while I had it apart.

Changed radios again... I while ago I put in a double din Android unit, thought it would be awesome, but it's just becoming aggravating lol so I went back to my old method of a basic single din aftermarket radio with my custom made bracket holding an Android tablet out in front of it, bluetooth connected to the radio so it all works together.

Thought I'd share a few pics of recently replaced distributor cap and rotor. The inside terminal on the cap is the best one of the six.The end of the rotor that rotates by it isn't looking any better either. The broken plug connection on the cap wasn't helping anything and I didn't know it was broken until I removed the wire boot.

Tried to installed an aftermarket, non-model-specific CV boot clamp where the original inner clamp on the inner boot was a bit loose. Gave up after not being able to get it tight and ordered some better clamps to hopefully get it nice and snug. Unfortunately a regular hose clamp won't work as it did on the passenger side since the screw doesn't clear part of the frame. (The passenger side clamp has stayed in place for over 3,000 miles.)

Also tried to polish out some clear-coat over-spray. Just made it worse by over sanding through the original clear-coat. Will have to spray the whole panel instead of only part of it like I tried. I sure hate body work! LOL

Changed oil in the 02.
Replaced power mirror switch in the 01.
Washed both.
This concludes my boring post.
You can go back to sleep now.

Looks great! I wonder what it would cost to have them powder coated?

I wouldn’t think it would be that much if you prep them first.

Found I was missing both splash pads. It either had to be the tire store that replaced the shocks or the place I had replace my spark plugs. Both took place a few years back so there’s no way to tell. I have new ones coming.
