Sanded out a bunch of clear-coat over-spray on the left rear quarter panel. Did you know you can buy 5,000 grit sandpaper? But boy do I hate body work. Yuck!

Truck is now ready for the winter though!

Rebuilt both door panels on my 02 2dr, and replaced the kicker speakers with alpines. Much better. Now to do the same with my 01 4dr. I'll put the kickers in the front door, as the factory basket and magnets are all that's left in there. However, there are brand new pioneers in the back doors. Strange that someone did such a thing.

Both of my Blazers came with those 1 inch tweeters mounted on metal plates in the dash. The sun got the best of those probably about the time the factory warranty ran out, I imagine lol. So I bought another set of tweeters to mount on those plates for less than 10 bucks off Ebay. I'm going to take the factory wires off the old ones and solder them on the new set rather than buy those adapters. I have found that the adapter they sell for the dash locations is pretty crappy. It plugs in but doesn't lock in place. If it sounds good I'll do the same for the other one, as the 4x6 speakers I put in two years ago are tired and sun beaten.
Also have to repair the driver's door panel on the 01. Its just about torn in half at the point where the door pull joints the panel. Going to weld it back together with the soldering iron.
And of course the defrost vent and speaker covers just about disintegrated when I touched them so I'll be ordering new ones by and along the way. Glued them back together as best as could be done. They'll just lay in place for now since the mounting holes broke off and are still sticking up in the dash with the screws attached. I used Elmer's glue-all (extra strength formula). It does an excellent job. I was stunned. It's quite strong and I cant even tell where I made the repairs without my glasses on. Elmer's has come a long way since elementary school.

Used the Dupli-Color All In One touch-up paint product. It has a point applicator pen-tip, a brush, clear-coat and an abrasive tip all in one package. Pretty handy. I did learn that how the paint flows is very much dependent on its temperature. I had left it in a sun beam on a clear 55'F day and it was so much less viscous. When trying to fill little holes, having the viscosity change on you messes with your technique. I should have practiced first but I was impatient so if you look carefully, you can see all of the little bumps of paint where I filled the chips with drops of paint. LOL

Looks like they fit really well. Do they? Any chance they would shift?

They seemed pretty secure the way they sit but I haven't driven the rig yet to check them out. I was a little sceptical when I took them out of the box. They are much stiffer than I expected, but once they went in I was feeling better about them.

Update: Went to the store and drove around a little. No shifting or movement of any kind. I can see these doing a great job of protecting the carpet this winter.
