what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
whoa! A little more and you could have gotten the OEM mats with the blazer logos. Although they probably wouldn't do as good a job against winter. Love the look though!
On the Blazer my son drives I was able to change out the hazard flasher switch. This seems to eliminate the turn signal relay ticking.
Also removed and reinstalled the clutch pedal switch. Not sure if this will get rid of the P0704 code.
Tomorrow I hope to run down the 4x4 issue. Think it's in the cable or the connection to differential. Also want to see if I can improve the vacuum into HVAC system. Still defaults to the center vents when the vacuum drops during acceleration.

Replaced the left front CV axle because I could not fix the bad boot on the original with any confidence so that it would stay on the inner flange. Ugh. Also managed to goof up the threads on the out tie-rod end in the process of trying to get that off which meant replacing that too. I'm keeping the original axle in case I have need to rebuild it. (The original grease looked as if it could have had some water contamination.) For now, I need my truck working and can't afford to worry about the boot falling off.
In the process though I might have come across evidence that the Precision brand axles sold at O'Reilly's are made by Moog. Could this be true?? I guess I get to see for myself if they are of high quality or not.

I also topped off the front differential oil with what seemed like more than what leaked out when I pulled the axle. Makes me wonder if should always recheck the level after driving around a bit.

Whelp, just bought a new used engine for my 2000 LS. I got a 4.3 80k mileage out of a '03 Blazer for $650. Here's hoping it works better than the old one. Official mileage of death for the original engine : 144k. Cause of death : Crankshaft
Reattached the tab to the defrost grid on the rear window of my 01. Tried to solder it but it would never stick. So I bought the epoxy kit that's electrically conductive and it works quite well. Highly reccomend using it if you ever have to do this repair. It's made by Permatex.
got it regestered yesterday,,got it running today
well the 2000 rust bucket up and running, new fuel and evap lines(nylon from ebay seller),new fuel pump with new lock ring, new fuel filler piping....next will be emissions...what about the 442 code????????????????who in the hell has ever done the GM DRIVING cycle,,,seems ridiculous
