Got the idler arm, and snow tires on. Idler arm was a .........(fill in the blank). But there was about 2" of play, so had to go.

Got my Blazer on its own tires and off the jack stands finally after a four inch body drop.

Bolted on some junk yard finds

Flaming Rider steering coupler (been on my "want to buy" list for some time now, just got lucky and found one in the yard!)

K&N Intake kit, with a dry element AFE filter that I already had though, I've never been a fan of oiled filters...

And some Street Scene door mirrors, just 'cause

They're pretty faded from the sun, truth is they were a LOT worse when I got them, I just polished the heck out of them with some compound and it made them look much better. Can probably make them look even better with some black trim coating or something.

One negative to these, they don't fold... So if I'm on the trail and smack a tree with one, it's toast, unlike the factory ones which would just fold in...

It is ridiculous! One of the many things I hate about modern vehicles. They put these systems in to supposedly "make the air cleaner" and to "save fuel" ... yet after fixing any of the systems, you have to drive around pointlessly wasting fuel & creating emissions. Sounds like something so brainless, only the government could come up with it ...

If you do the drive cycle as published by GM, it can go pretty quick, but where I live, it's impossible to do without "driving to endanger" charges at worst, or a speeding ticket at best. Usually a drive around town, then a blast down the highway, and a little city stop-and-go, then a complete overnight cool-down cycle & restart will usually get all, or most, of the monitors to run.

I say "USUALLY", because I have a 2007 Silverado that I bought brand new 11 years ago, that hasn't run it's monitors in 2 years, or 4,500 miles. Only 94k miles on this toilet. GM sure ain't what she used to be ...

My next "new" vehicle will be built before the 1973 model year, that I can guarantee ...

Pulled my steering wheel off to replace the radio buttons that have been acting funny for a little while now. I soldered in some red LED's a while back and ever since then they haven't worked right... guess I got the internal resistors too hot or something, idk... The switches I put in, I tested before putting back together and reinstalling and they all worked and all lit up great, so I went ahead and reassembled and reinstalled everything. All the functions work great, but now that it's installed the dang "MODE" button doesn't light up... At that point I said screw it, I never use that button anyhow, it'll stay un-lit for now lmao

Hit 90,000 miles yesterday.
Changed the oil and filter. Filter was a pain, but only managed to waste 2 hours on it...
Had to get a different oil filter "wrench" (the channel lock kind).
I have a nasty habit of over tightening things it seems.

Default Wire problem Fuel sending Unit

Hi i have a 2000 Chevy Blazer. My fuel gauge was working and now its not. I changed the sending unit. along with the plug. Fuel gauge still don't work. But when i hook black & white wire with a Black wire on the sending unit my fuel gauge works. But its throwing a check engine light for low fuel pressure sensor. Never done that before. I did chance the pressure sensor with another one and still throws check engine light. Just with the key on. Does anyone know if the fuel level sensor controls the fuel pressure sensor. I also left the black and white wire disconnected from the main harness but hooked up both black wires (black and white wire with back wire) together on the sending unit. Just so i had a fuel gauge.
