Magnetic mount for CB radio which is installed in the bottom panel where ashtray was. I used to be a trucker and even with cellular phones I want the CB. Best use is when on interstate and it stops, get on CB to find out why. When ever your looking for stuff with long cables like cb antenna or stereo truck stops got em. Those big rigs need long run wires. Heck in my home I put a in dash car radio under the end kitchen cabinet, used a 12 volt power supply and a long reach antenna for semi’s ran into attic, pair of nice 6x9 speakers mounted into ceiling and presto, great built in kitchen sound system.

As for my 98 red blazer, thanks. I redid the stock pinstripe while back. Amazon had the exact replacement so just overlaid the faded original stripes. No way to remove the old one, on so long would never come off without damage to finish. Going to have to paint the wiper arms this year I think, they getting rough, maybe attend to the roof rack. Rust wise doing great. Even under chassis it is pretty clean, I attribute that living in midwest, limited exposure to salted winter roads and it was treated with STP body undercoating at purchase.

The red Blazer with the stripe looks dope. Beautiful clean stocks! That's an A. Where is that antenna mounted?
Hadyss, the winter suits your ride, dude!
DonL, keep workin, guy. You've got a beast there. What's it waiting for?
front end rebuild, spider injector and maybe a fuel pump. Nothing major, but priorities and her being in storage is keeping her off the road... cheaper for now, tent trailer isnt out of storage yet either so no big rush...

That's a great idea! You can use your device via bluetooth or USB along with regular AM and FM... and 6x9's are like the American Iron of speakers. I hate those tinny bluetooth speakers...

Ugg spider and fuel pump, did that last year. What a job for a newb like me! My posts on that read like a book. I do not regret doing it but if it was not for this forum I would have never made it. Fuel pump was fairly easy only due to cut out under seat directly to it (resealed with plexiglass and rtv sealant). Never had to even drop the tank, took maybe an hour. That spider on other hand took me a few days. Granted my first time and took my time and did a very detailed job on it. I can say this much, the tip from forum on taking the old upper bolts and cut the heads off, cut notch for a flat screw driver was worth the extra effort. Makes installing the upper section onto gasket line right up and gives you a great gasket seal. Don’t bother without taking that step. So yea, there’s 8, use four of the old bolts modified to line up then install 4 new in the open holes, then flat blade to remove the modified ones and then install the last 4 new ones. You will also need a quality oz rated torque wrench. I had a friend with a snap-on one I got to use. Got the spider on Amazon, at time was best price- ac Delco part, did not bother with any cheaper aftermarket seeing I want it to last. Bending and positioning the new lines is kinda scary, you really bend them quite a bit and fear you might break them, they didn’t. Results are as you think, runs better, more power, better mpg and it fixed my idle issue- this was after using the ODB scanner for WiFi on ipad (With ODB fusion app) which showed the original system was leaking causing my idle issue. If you search my post on it, I had several links and plenty of photos on what I did. Good luck tho, I want to see you document your experience doing it. Like me, helps others afterwards.

The number 3 cylinder (middle driver side) is a royal pain as I’m sure you have heard. Steering shaft is in way of wrenching on it. Linkage from front left wheel adds to the difficulty. I ended up just cutting a space in splash guard to reach thru, used hydraulic floor jack to adjust angle of linkage and several socket extenders that had the rounded swivel ends that created a useable way to wrench it off and replacement back on. Hopefully you will have better luck than most with doing this.

Maybe you will have better luck than me, I could not get the steering linkage apart to get at it this used this approach.

Not the first set of plugs I’ve done in it I’ve had it for 3 yrs today lol but first time I’ve splurged for the good ac Delco plugs and my steering linkage comes apart when I do it. Didn’t want to the first time but I used a pry bar in between and twisted to get it to come apart

Nothing too crazy for me, just got a couple of new tires on my ride yesterday on the way home from work. Had a mismatched size on the rear so had to address that quickly. Hopefully more updates to come with my Blazer!

Looks great! I actually work in the area, and should have the same drop kit on mine as well within the coming weeks so hope to see you around!

Finally got my jerry can holder welded to my tire carrier. Looks great, doesn't obscure my rear window at all. The angle is bad but someone behind me should still be able to see my brake and turn lights with it on.
