what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
First, you need to make sure that the intake manifold gaskets are not leaking. Oil or air must not be allowed to get into the cooling system. Mine were only seeping slightly, but when I took the manifold off, the gaskets were a soggy mess... Check the head gaskets while you are at it, but the intake gaskets are usually the problem.
Flush it out real good. You don't need to take it anywhere to do that. There are chemical flushing products that supposedly remove the mud. I might try one application of that, followed by Smitty's method of repeated flushes with water. You might try driving it with just a detergent flushing product and water in it. Keep an eye on your temp. Run several cycles, draining and refilling completely in between. Your goal is not just to remove the mud, but also to get rid of any remnants of the dreaded Dexcool.
If the leak is not too bad, do the flush process before you replace the radiator to try and keep the crud out of the new one. While you have it drained, replace the thermostat too. I might even run a couple of cycles after the new radiator is installed, since the old one is probably clogged and the coolant flow will have improved.
When the coolant finally drains clear, run one final cycle of water alone, then drain and refill with regular green coolant.

Putting back the parking light socket into the right front light.
Had it out as it was intermittingly quitting and found it to be corroded.
Good brushing and a run in the dishwasher
did the job.
Now it's about time to get it back in.

I took the truck for a ride and at the gas station I had a nice puddle of tranny fluid under my truck...
Well it leaked from the transfer case switch... IM just about done with this switch bull ****. Im hooking my front diffy to a switch with an vac solenoid and thats about it.
While fixing the leak I did a fluid change on the tcase and took it for a test drive... No leaks so far

well.. went camping this past weekend, needed to put my jimmy in 4 Hi and found that the front axle isn't engaging. I'm not sure if I'm dealing with a stuck cable, vacuum lines (if its vacuum powered) or the motor for the actuator is dead... I hear the transfer case locking in but the front isn't, so I get an error flash on the dash buttons all but 2 Hi. Gotta get that fixed before the snow fly's

I have a 1993 full size blazer 2 door, black 90% stock except for the computer and exhaust system. I have not paid as much attention to it as I should have so some serious rust issues have come to be. The lift gate hinges rusted and I had to weld newones in thats done looks and works good. Replacing both under the door quarter panels as well as the lower quater panels between the door and rear wheel well. While I am at it I am replacing all brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank, fuel sending unit. Also cleaned sanded and removed the rust from the frame and applied chassy saver to the frame. I bought this blazer new it now has 134,000 it was under coated at the dealer at the time I bought it, but still had lots of rust under body but living in Ohio has it faults for the winter salt. I only can find the time to work on it about 4 hours a week so it is still a work in progress, but it is a sweet vehicle and I still like to drive it. But I also have a 2010 GMC Denali so like I said I have not paid as much attention to my Blazer as I should have it does set often and I drive my Denali. So thats what I am doing with my Blazer, its work but a bad day working on one of my toys is always better than watching TV and just being a couch potato.
