what have you gotten done on your blazer today?

UUhhgg .... waaay too early for that white crap. I've been there - nothing worse than freezing your *** off on the bike. But usually you concentrate so hard on not crashing that you don't notice the cold as much until you stop. I've been soaked to the bone in 30° temps - not fun at all.
Out here, they dump salt the second a flake hits the pavement if the temp is even close to freezing. Bikes virtually rust away before your eyes in that corrosive slop. It even eats aluminum over time - makes it look like crap.
The engine in that bike you have looks like the same one they used in the old Katana's I used to work on back in the day. Deja-vu! At least you don't have to spend a half hour stripping bodywork off in order to do maintenance.

Snow sucks
I live where the average snow is about 40" in a winter.I never thought about riding my bike after it gets that cold.I think I rode mine for the last time yesterday.Like the Jimmy it and my bike are going into cold storage till next spring.

I finished up replacing the ball joints, outer tie rod ends and idler arm in my '98 Jimmy. Now it goes to Richard at Graham Automotive for a decent alignment. Then I pull the valve body from the transmission and fix the code 1870. Maybe then I'll drive it.

also whats a 1870?
i have a 98 jimmy,that showed a code several times(transmission).,,but i always just erased it.
it usually came during a hi-way trip, sometimes loud clunk during shift.
waiting for it to happen again, but pretty much no hiway for this dog.
thanks!
