Hi, Mine is a 2000 reg but is actually a 1999 model according to the VIN plate number, haven't really driven it much yet it is in a local garage being converted to run on LPG. Went for a pre 2001 model as I didn't want one that would be taxed on emmissions, this one is taxed as an over 2000 cc think it cost me £190 for the year.

Hi guys, Mr Brown sends a letter of thanks when you buy a Blazer. If you convert he just ignores you! LOL
I also considered an LPG conversion on my '99 LS but here in New Zealand it costs around $4500, almost 1/3 of what I paid & no ways will I get that back if I sell.
Otherwise it's a good truck. I've not yet had anything major touch wood. I've hadit just on a year & I'm now on 86000km. (bought it at 75000km)
Spares & accessories could be an issue being RHD. I'm in the process of modding my imported lights to RHD.

Damn site. Won't let me post more than a few lines. (it was hit by a virus some time back & has never been the same since - as a result some of us are now active on the bf.net site.)

By the way, any ideas where your Blazers come from? I don't recall Chevy selling them new in the UK when I lived there. (I left in Sept 2001) Mine is a used import from Japan.

Hi Kiwiblazer, Know what you mean about Mr Brown. It was the same with not taxing cars over a certain age, O yes they suddenly decided they had to be made before a fixed date to qualify for no tax.[:@] Vauxhall apparently imported Blazers for a couple of years in late nineties early 00's, mind you now they have changed to be Chevy dealers they don't want to know about the Blazers.

Right so I guess they were also built at the New Jersey plant in the US. Any issues with spares? We rely on the local Chevy specialist (not a dealer - there is none here because of Holden) to import trucks from Japan to break up for spares. Otherwise import ex US is next option then issues with LHD vs RHD.
