RE: turn clunking
Welcome to the site.
I don't know which forum this is, but clunking while turing is usually ball joints, or cv axles. Take it to an alignment shop and get a free estimate. Post up what they say, and we can walk you through the repairs, if your interested. I bet we could even find you some pics too.

Thanx,I'll try that first and get back to you again. My haynes manual say's little about ball-joint's.Also,everytime I go to Autozone, they tell me that my 98 is a S-10.I alway's thought it was a LS.Am I wrong?
Liked your reply 4/17/2006 10:47:07 AM .I'll take that advice if I have to change the ball-joint's.
Thanx again,
Garry

They used to be S-10 Blazers, but after like '95 (I think '94 was when the fullsize blazers ended production), they dropped the S-10 off of the name, but they are still s-series based vehicles. And Autozone's computers are RETARDED!

RE: turn clunking
I think the LS they are referring to is the trim package. The options are LT or LS on the newer Chevy body styles.
I think the Jimmey version has a 3rd letter in the trim designator.
And which reply would that be? I can't remember that far back.

RE: turn clunking
I had a knock I could hear and feel when making left turns. My whole front end was jacked up. I replaced a tie rod end and both lower ball joints as well as the stabilizer bar links. I am not sure what was making the noise but it is gone now. Do you ave any vibration in your front end at high speeds(50-60mph)? I tink it is always a good idea to at least lift your truck and do an inspction once in a while. My haynes walked through the ball joints very smoothly. You could also inspect your rubber boots on the cv joint. reply make if you want more info on front end stuff.
