After making my own heatshield (and helping a few others), I could not recomend doing anything other than making your own. It requires a trip to home depot and a few hours, its a fun project, and the kicker is if you do it corectly you will have a WAY BETTER heatshield than ANYTHING aftermarket.
The real problem is that even with a heatshield, your CAI is going to be a HAI (Hot Air Intake) except for highway driving. ie: stop and go you will suck alot of hot air. I have personally watched my AIT on my laptop while driving.
Another problem is the shape of the front of our trucks and how the intake utilizes the space, I hate to say it but kyle's numbers have been pretty accurate on numerouse threads about how the original design of the airbox is pretty darn good for the space it utilises for collecting cold air.
