straight pipe
just run smaller piping i have a 5.3l silverado and it goes from a y right where the stock muffler was and then goes two 2 1/4 in pipes all the way back to 3.5 in diameter 18 in long tips it sounds great everyone thinks i have really loud mufflers and its really toned i have never had troubles with cops and no i havent blown my motor after 12k miles
if you click on my cardomain link i have pics of my exhaust although it may not be a blazer it will give you ideas....you dont need to cut off before the cats or really even much before the muffler and it will sound great in a silverado...most people tell me i have way to small of piping but i wanted small to keep back pressure plus i have two pipes for it to flow out of in the end and they are straigh out the back not 90s or 45s....does anyone know the stock size of a blazer exhaust pipe? i would not go larger there is just no need to just put a 3-3.5 in tip on with a single outlet thats about 2.5 in dia. again this is just my opinions take it for how you want....in addition im not a glasspack fan unless its on a fourwheeler and even then i dont like them much i would stick with what you have, a magnaflow, or a small straight pipe just keep the tube size down because it seems to keep the raspyness on the low side which is what alot of people prefer anyways good luck with everything

ok im officailly finished i cut the muffler and ran a straight pipe...its pretty dam loud but when u first take off it almost sounds like that that old piece of junk car we hear going down the block sometimes thats missing the muffler...one of my connection didnt fit right and there is a lil leak so im hoping when i get the right size connection it will take that away...but itrs very loud it sets off car alarms...lol...thanks again everyone for your advice
intresting.....now after reading this I have a question.
seems to be 2 decent(illegal) routes here.
no cat w/ muffler
w/ cat no muffler
I'd love to hear both side by side. I wonder which ones better....
cliro should post a clip
