Yes, the front diff will have the same gear ratio as the back. If you keep your front diff stock and regeared the rear, your rear wheels would spin slower than your front. Basically, if you don't regear the front, you're not gonna go anywhere.

if you regear you can get close to the same low end as stock, but your mileage will go bye bye. someone who has done the lift, correct me if i'm wrong

I have Yukon 4.11 front and rear gears. With my 33's I was getting 14-15 city and 17-18 highway. Make sure to get a power programmer to calibrate your speedometer for the bigger tires and program the computer for the different gear ratio.

on what engine? stock 4.3 for your year people are getting 17 and 21 so thats really good. i guess in fullsize trucks its just a more exxagerated difference. wow i'm not going to hesitate to get a lift once i get the money now.
