im thinking about doing solid axle swap n my 94 s10 blazer, my buddy is giving me front and rear axles the rear is a 12 bolt, and the front is a dana 44, thats all that he is giving me. if i go through with it, i would like to fit 35's so im just curious if anyone knows the best combo of parts or set up ,,like what size leaf springs, what to switch the steering to etc. also im curious if i do the swap, for 35's should i leave the 4.3, or should i get 305 or 350 so i can actually move when its finished...thanks

 

What gears are in the axles? I'm running 33s with 373s and a 4.3 and its about perfect. But I had a 2.8 s10 on 35s and it got me around. For steering the cheep easy way is get a astrovan box and a flat top kunuckle for the passenger side to bolt a steering arm too.

For my lift I did a spring over axle with a 4 inch block outback and 4 inch k5 blazer lift springs up front. That amount of lift might work if you don't mind trimming the fenders.

 

the rear has locked 3.73's and i believe it was 4.11's up front but im not sure, i havnt picked up the axles yet, thanks for the help

 

If those gears don't match you won't be able to use 4x4 unless in really low traction areas
