Default Shackle install trouble

So i recently made up some lift shackles for my 99 LT 4dr, which are 8" from hole to hole. I had a hell of a time getting the stock ones off
my problem now, I have the 2" lift shackles mounted up at the top, how are you guys getting the spring down far enough to bolt in?

ive tried prying, pulling etc. I cant get them down far enough to put a bolt through it???

thanks in advance from a new member!

I used a small bottle jack.
i have also done it using blocks of wood between the frame and spring adding a block at a time and pounding it in to wedge the spring down.
either way...BE CAREFUL.

i had the same problem with mine and i found that my shocks were holding the rear end up, i unbolted the shocks and then the rear end dropped enough to were i was able to bolt them right up with out prying them down.

the shocks are stock, from what ive read they shouldnt be a problem. However they are not in the best shape, i will be replacing them with some rancho shocks soon, when the 31's go on.

i had replaced mine right after i raised the rear with rancho shocks rs5000 and i really like them and they had plenty of extra length with the lift.
