The kit came with all the stuff I would need to run a separate switch, but I like these on the fog switch, and I'll make a separate switch for when I get a roof basket, and lights on that.

If necessary so to not exceed the amperage rating of an existing circuit, you can create a parallel circuit to the battery that is controlled remotely by a relay that is controlled by the fog-lamp switch.

In my opinion NO!

What I would do so you don't have any electrical issues is to put a 30AMP fog light relay on the new aftermarket fog lights and just use the factory fog light power wire to energize the relay. This way you do not put any drain on the factory fog light circuit when using the aftermarket fog lights (but they will work with the same switch). No Brainer.

Question for Cliff as I found his answer educational.

If replacing the stock fog lights with aftermarket ones of equitable amperage, should a secondary relay be used on the replacement lights? I say secondary because I would imagine the stock ones were already on a relay.

My Blazer has all the wire connectors readily available from the plant for fog lights; they just didn’t install them as it was going down the assembly line. I have aftermarket ones to install and was going to use an adapter so they will plug directly into my existing harness without having to splice the wires. However, I want to do it safely so that’s the basis for my question. If those stock fog light wires aren’t guarded by a relay, I want to be sure they are protected.

Thank you for your time.

Haven't had a problem yet. But I get what your talking about with the fuse. If I run into any problems down the road, I'll slap some in. But so far so good.
