I want a cb with pa though. What are some good cb radio choices that have the pa function built in? I was looking at this.

Midland used to make a dependable radio years ago, but the quality of them over the last 10 years or so has really dropped off. The 1001Z has been known to have a lot of issues and a high failure rate. IMO you would be better off spending a little more money up front and getting a dependable radio straight away. I've seen this scenario play out many times. Someone buys an inexspensive radio and it fails a couple months later, so they buy another inexspensive radio or spend money to have the radio shipped out for warranty work, and the same thing happens. Then they buy a better quality radio. If they would have bought a good quality radio to begin with they would have saved money in the long run.

The Cobra 25LTD and 29LTD (AM only) and the Galaxy DX959 (AM/SSB) all have the PA feature.

Very true, I agree with you. I just wanted a simple cb radio with the pa feature. I don't really care about all the bells and whistles of some of the other ones. Like a bluetooth feature, don't need it. But I'll look in to the ones you suggested. Thank you.
