i've done that before. but i've noticed it after walking away from the truck. (alarm didn't like the light being on 
)guess you never noticed you turned it on. by accident i'm guessing.
@ least it was a simple "fix".

I had a similar problem in my blazer. Turns out the wiring going to the rear light had some of the insulation stripped off when I pulled the rear light to install my xm radio antenna.
This triggered the lights to turn on just like opening a door. Lights would come on driving down the road, sometimes when just sitting there, other times the darn things wouldn't shut off.
