Question Driver side headlight short...grr

Ok, so here is the deal. Since I bought my 2000 Blazer a few months ago, my drivers side headlight will only sometimes come on. If the headlight doesn't come on, I just get out and hit it, then it comes on. And when switching from hi beams back to lo beams, it sometimes turns off then comes back on in a few seconds. Anyone else has this problem, and how did you fix it? Thanks for your help.

The light turns on some times, but when it doesn't all I have to do is give it a good smacking around and she turns right on. Going to take it out tomorrow, see if everything is making a good connection, probably put new bulbs in on both sides too, since one is dimmer than the other. Well, I will make my old man do this. Me and electrical stuff do not get along. HAHA!

I will do that. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully, it is just an easy fix. Should be something simple since it is only the one headlight.
