The darker one is from my spider, is it dirty and clogged? And what is this piece?

my connector does NOT have a pin in slot 4.
my Innova 3020b scanner won’t read the codes it says error, so I assume it’s OBD 1.5, ....

without a pin in slot 4, and no keyed power to slot 2, how do I read the codes?

10/94 build date, computer under hood on passenger fender, obd2 connector under left side of dash.
help??

Pin 5 is a gnd along with pin 4 so you can use pin 5 instead. Pin 2 is a data line, not power.

Hello Rusty, I have the same issue. Doing this won't cause any circuit on the computer or something? I have a 93 S10 and i scan it with a jumper wire in pin 4 and 6, but this other Chevy I've got doesn't have a 6th pin. Only 2-4-5-9-13 and 16.

That is the "maxi" injector which opens and closes fuel to pressurize fuel to your injectors. It's like one big injector that feeds the rest. Wiring harness sits on top and is related to ignition timing. Mine is stuck open and forced to get a whole assembly
