Default Turn signal clacker issue

Have a 2000 Blazer LT 4x4. Today it suddenly sounded like the blinker was on only the blinker was not on. The blinkers work as they should only the dinging is continuous at all times. I puller the flasher fuze pack and changed it out and it still does this. My next step tomorrow is to pull apart the column and see if it is an issue with the blinker selector. If any one has encountered this problem or has an idea to check please let me know.

Thanks ahead of time.

After alot of looking i found the thread on here that has the issue and explains the fix. It is the Blinker switch on the column. In the thread i found it even tells me how to tear down the column and change it. Thanks

The cheapest i found a new blinker, cruise, wiper, switch was at carparts.com. It was $45 and $52 shipped. I used promo code CPWcart and got 10% off too.
