A way around it?

my apologies 4 taking so long 2 get back with a reply...the dome override button, no it doesnt solve my problem...but since its not only my daily driver but also using it for hunting season, after i get 2 my destination, i shut off my rig, depress the emergency brake & start my blzr up again if i need to & by doing that of course it allows me 2 let my rig idle without any lights on.
so thank you every1 for ur help & comments.
HOWEVER- i do have a new comment/ question/ hopefulness its just fine!! SO, after replacing my PCM in my '99 s10 blazer 4x4, with a performance tuned PCM, i was in the beginings of the security relearn procedure, & following the instructions, turning my key to attempt start (which i thought wouldnt allow the engine 2 start/run, well, mine started rite up. Runs, man does it run good now, idles fine, im hoping all is good?
IS that ok??

Thanks for the update. You inspired me to try to look into my gm manuals and schematic to see if I could do an override of the DRL/auto-headlight system. I think I might have found where I could fool the light system to stay off but that'll have to wait until later when I'll have more time to play with it.
As for your PCM update, that discussion sounds worthy of its own new thread. When you repost you question on it, can you share what brand PCM you installed?

thank you for the youtube video. i bookmarked it 4 later. as for my newly installed PCM, i would be more than happy 2 share! i ordered it from Garrett tuning. mine had/has a po605 code ,so i purchased a pcm from Garrett tuning, and also bought a performance tune software which tthey installed. I just got it in yesterday.

1999 master cylinder adjustment??
Hello, i apologize for posting this question after discussing pcm's. its been a long day & im. It sure if I'm even gaining at times!
so, on my '99 s10 blazer 4x4, is what I've read correct regarding the master cylinder / brake booster push rod being adjustable?
I've taken a couple of the apart, and if it is adjustable, I'm hoping someone here will enlighten me on the subject please.
Again, sorry about the location of my post.

I'm not sure if I missed it... but is there a way to wire a switch in the main power line for the lights? Maybe run all positives thru a junction that runs off a switch? Could be a lot of work, but could be a solution to your problems... if your that electronicly inclined... if I had a vehicle I could to test trials in I would do that lol...

As far as daytime running lights go, I just simply took out the bulbs from the headlights... By doing so you lose access too your brights but I never use them anyway. If I do need brights I simply flip on a toggle switch on the dash too turn on my LEDS mounted on the Brush Guard...

I looked into what it would take to override the automatic DRL and headlights on my 1999 Blazer. It took a bit to piece it all together. What I worked out was that the signals from the BCM that run the relays would have to be isolated. I attempted the dome-override trick but it did not work for mine.
Here are the wiring diagrams, the original and the modifications I think would be necessary. The components in yellow are the ones to be added.
