Any gun nuts here?

Just be happy you dont have 357SIG, a 50rd box of FMJ is $27 Although, I plan on buying a .40 G27 barrel soon just so I can shoot cheaper ammo.
As many rumors and bad mouthing there is with hipoint, they seem to be pretty reliable guns with good customer service. Everyone I've met that owns one has had a good experience.

I got a couple guns, ruger 10/22(my baby), sold my rem. 870 tactical(miss it), (don't shoot these all that often)colt ar15, 22-250, 220 swift, rem.1100. My dad has a glock 23 (I think) 40 cal and a High point 9mm rifle.

I've never meet a person who didn't like the 10/22. There are so many options it's not even funny. I'm pretty sure you could build a 10/22 with all aftermarket parts, that's just how popular it is.
You could buy it for a cheap plinker or semi-serious competition shoots it really depends on what you want to do with it

The 10/22 is one of the best out they're good for distance targets, small game, anything never really had it jam I only have the 10 round mag. But its a drum style magazine so there is no spring to wear out. On it I have a 4x32 (I think) scope and a bi-pod with a sling I use it to shoot targets and coyotes and I got a skunk once that stunk bad I love and wouldn't trade it for anything and I also have a single shot remington 22LR/SR I think its a targetmaster its from the 70's it was giving to me by my old neighbor when I was 10 I think

Sucks about the 10rd mag limit
The plus side is they keep you from accidentally blowing through all your ammo in minutes like you can with a 30rd mag or 100rd drum

nice, I thought NY had a 10rd limit but I guess since AK's are pretty popular, there should be plenty of pre-ban, high-cap magazines around

Oh, I believe they do have a limit.. shhh! I said nothing!

^That's one thing I love about WV, we have like the 2nd or 3rd lax gun laws of any state. You can carry a pistol in your vehicle as long as the ammo/magazine and the gun are seperate. The gun could legally be in the open if you wanted, but that would just attract a "probable cause" search by the police IMHO, lol. The gun shows arn't watched as much as most states by law either. I watched a guy walk out of one with at least 5-6 pistols, a rifle, sks and ar-15. No one gave him a second glance, you'd think he just had groceries, lol.
Stopped back by a local shop after a few hours at work, (had to come in on my day off for somethings, overtime FTW!) and bought the last two mags they had. Got 4 now, feel thats a good number. Another local store restarted thier 6 month layaway program agian and I'm thinking about a ruger 10/22 (if ya can't beat em' join em') and a hi point 4095ts4x or 4095tsrd.
That's a beautiful kalashnikov 01vortec. I will own one someday.
