I pay way too much for auto insurance :(

Half way off subject, but when I in mechanic school I bought a fiero 4 banger, 4 speed for $175. I was like 23 or 24 with 2 or 3 years experience and a clean record. Cheapest ins. I could find was $2500 for 6 months!!! And that was just the state required minimum tag ins!!
Needless to say, I didnt have that car for very long.
Now, I'm 35 with no accidents and only a few tickets (nothing major, speeding & such) and have a 1990 aerostar 5 speed & minimal ins, I pay $38 a month.

A few issues with my record, and required SR-22, I pay $86 a month. I use "SafeAuto." Didn't even raise, when I had my accident last year.

I'm in a bad spot, being 18, working full time so no student/school discounts, and a male with 2 years driving experience.

My premium just went up 60 bucks due to moving across county lines. I was paying about 400 for a six month coverage through a smaller company called Guide One, now it's 450. Im 22 and I only have a nonmoving violation on my record.... which is something of a funny story. Im just glad I lived in Maine at this point in time!!!
