No, I am serious. If that really is a roots type supercharger powered properly, it could work. Hardly ideal, but could work. That picture is a FAR cry from the bilge pumps that are for sale on eBay as electric superchargers. A true positive displacement type compressor that a roots supercharger is will work regardless of how it is powered.

In OP's defense, he was simply trying to understand the plausibility of the design.

Besides, it doesn't close to the ridiculousness of the DIRECT EXHAUST INJECTION from a while back or the guy on MustangForums who ran a water hose through his engine while running to clean it out.
