How do the springs that keep the door open go in?
Get the proper tool, called a door spring removal tool. Or carefully put it into a vice compress it and use like a zip tie to hold it tight. Then put it back into the door, and remove the tie. I prefer using the tool, well worth the $15.
A zip tie will not hold the spring. I broke bailing wire in the process of trying to hold the spring in the compressed state when I did my driver's door.
The proper spring compressor is only $20 from Eastwood.com (Light Truck Door Hinge Spring Tool). It was $16 when I bought mine before I tackled the passenger door.
