Default Noob paint and body filler

Ok so anyways I live in toronto and the weather is like -1 out. Im going to be doing some small body filling and touch up on paint. I have a hole about the size of a toonie above the left rear wheel along with some surface rust in other places. I went and bought a sanding wheel and im gonna go grind out the rust and smooth the edges. I hand sanded the surface rust previous and painted without primer and the rust came back. My question is is the temp outside to cold to be doing anything with bondo and paint? And any advise on bondo and painting would be awesome cause I dont know what im doing. This is the first time ever trying something like this.

i would advise you to not do it until the temp is above 50 or 60 degrees. it wont turn out good unless you do inside a heated garage and you let it set until it cures.
